Buy Vanilla Gift Card

Yes, it is possible to buy a Vanilla Visa with a credit card, but it depends on the type of the card you want and where you decide to buy it from. More specifically, there are two types of Vanilla Visa cards:

buy vanilla gift card

You can buy a MyVanilla Prepaid Card with a credit card at participating merchant locations. However, as with the Vanilla Visa Gift Card, some merchants might not accept credit cards. So, it is best to ask them beforehand.

The Visa Gift card is an ideal choice for birthdays, holidays, weddings, and suits all your gift-giving needs. It's also perfect for people of all ages. You decide how much money to give; they decide where to spend it.

The Visa Gift card is a prepaid card welcome everywhere Visa cards are accepted. Visa Gift cards are loaded with a set amount of funds and can be used for multiple purchases for as long as value remains on the card. Giving a Visa Gift card puts the power of choice in the hands of your friends and family.

The activation process is determined by the provider of your card, so you will need to follow the instructions provided with your card. Many Visa Gift cards are activated automatically upon purchase and may be used immediately. However, some Visa Gift cards must be activated by the recipient before they can be used.

Look for the initial balance in the card materials that come with your card at the time you receive it. These card materials provide important information, including the terms and conditions for using your card, so please read them carefully before using the card. If your card does not come with these materials, you should contact the financial institution that issued the card. Most issuers also offer web site access, a toll-free number, or instructions on the back of the card.

If your card has expired and there is a remaining balance of funds on the card, you may wish to receive a new card. Some issuers also offer the ability to receive remaining funds via cheque. If you have a balance on your expired card, contact the financial institution that issued your card or refer to your cardholder material to learn how to order a new card or a cheque. Issuers may charge a fee for this service.

If a merchant cancels a purchase transaction for you, it may take three to seven business days for the cancellation to show up on your Visa Gift card record and for the funds to be credited to your card and available for use. Check the balance on your card, either online or by phone, to see when your cancelled purchase transaction has been processed. Refer to the back of your card for the web site address/phone number of the financial institution that issued your card.

Yes. You can use your Visa Gift card anywhere Visa cards are accepted. Just always ensure that the remaining balance on your card will cover the amount of your planned purchases. If the remaining balance doesn't cover the entire transaction, let the merchant know how much funds you have remaining. The merchant may split the transaction and allow you to pay for part of the purchase using your Gift card, and then the remaining part of the purchase with another form of payment such as credit, debit or cash.

To make a purchase greater than the balance on your Visa Gift card, a merchant may accept a second payment method (credit card, debit card, cash or cheque) to cover the difference if their policy allows.

In case you need to return any items purchased with your Visa Gift card, be sure to save your Visa Gift card even after the balance is depleted. You will be asked to present this card when returning items purchased with the card. If the merchant's return policy allows for refunds, the value of the returned goods will be credited back to the card within three to seven business days of the return.

You should not use your Visa Gift card for recurring bill payments, such as your monthly telephone or cable bill. For recurring bill payment transactions please use your Visa Credit, Visa Debit or Visa Reloadable Prepaid cards instead. By doing so, you reduce the risk of using a Visa Gift card that has expired or has insufficient funds available.

Yes. However, you should be aware that restaurants and hotels factor in an automatic tip or other incidental expenses when authorizing your purchase transaction. If the total purchase amount including the estimated tip exceeds the amount available on your card, your card may be declined. If you think this will happen, inform the merchant in advance how much to deduct from your Visa Gift card and which second payment method (credit card, debit card, cash or cheque) you want to use to cover the difference.

Yes. Your Visa Gift card is intended for use anywhere Visa cards are accepted. To make an online or phone purchase, you will need to register your card. You can do this by either calling the provider, or by visiting their website.

However, it turns out that not all CVS stores will accept gift cards to buy Vanilla Reload cards. Some readers have commented and e-mailed that some CVS stores require you to show ID which matches the credit card you use to make a purchase.

Visa and Mastercard gift cards can be extremely useful tools to maximize rewards on credit card spend. These cards are sold both in fixed denominations and in variable-load forms where you can put anywhere between $20-$500 on the card. They are accepted almost everywhere that you can use credit or debit. Outside of periodic sales, there is almost always an activation fee on these cards, usually from $3.95-$7.95.

Regardless of how you use them, the first step is to find Visa or Mastercard gift cards that can be bought with a credit card, with low activation fees, and without risk of incurring cash-advance fees. This post solely focuses on options available within the United States. And even within the US, options will vary immensely by region, by county and by store.

The limit on gift card purchases is 2K. Staples will only let you do 9 $200 gift cards at once when because the purchase fee is included in the 2K limit, thus 10 cards will code as being MORE than 2k (2,079.5, for example) However, a way around this is to buy the the 10th card separate from the first 9. The total gift card purchased are exactly equal to 2k. Did this with the Staples MC sale and had no problem using this technique to get 10 2oo k cards.

Forgive me for my ignorance but I thought that Visa/MC gift cards arent eligible to earn points and are coded as cash advances. Since US merchants provide L3 data. Is this the case or am I wrong? Would definitely wanna take advantage if its not enforced.

Hello. I have had no issues in the past loading my Serve prepaid card using Visa Gift cards. Today I noticed Dollar General updated their terminals, so that the cashier has no keyboard anymore, and the swiping of my serve card takes place at the terminal in front of me at the counter. When trying to load my Serve card, we couldnt get it load using any debit card. I tried a visa gift card, as well as my wells fargo bank debit card, and neither one was not allowed. unfortunately I dont have the exact error message. I will get that next time.

Is anyone aware of any issue loading Serve cards with a debit card using the new terminals? Or did my casher not understand how to use the terminal? I wouldnt think that functionality would be removed all together. I didnt try to load it with cash, I just went to a store with older terminals and it loaded without issues.anybody else have that issue?

If using amex at the grocery like the gold card youd still earn points when purchasing VISA/MC GC? arent they excluded from earning points because its a cash like transaction? Doesnt the merchant provide L3 data to amex?

Prepaid my state taxes with the Staples $200 card. PIA to do these one at a time, but good way to flush cards. They would only accept about 6 cards per day, so it takes a few days. No fee either. Next is to try on my local taxes. I know they charge a fee on debit cards.

Something to be careful about: Simon Gift Card Bulk Orders are not shipping very fast. Last month an order took 8 days to ship, but the credit card was billed (not just pending) 4 days before it was actually shipped. This month it looks like the same thing again.

i keep having my order cancelled by giftcards and giftcardmall. Has anyone else encountered this and were able to resolve it? I called their help desk which was an effort in futility. They just said keep trying a different card or email and make sure your billing address matches. 6 failed attempts. Any suggestions?

Buy VISA/MC cards to pay bills? Silly to pay the gift card fees. Just use your new credit cards to prepay monthly bills for signup bonuses and get it back from no monthly payments for some time. Note: No place in Dallas, TX area will sell money orders using PIN-enabled gift cards. Sad.

1) Unfortunately, office supply stores are not a bonus category for the Ink Business Preferred. The 3x categories on that card are travel, shipping, internet, cable, phone, and advertising with social media sites. Staples purchases would only be 1x whether in-store or online.Chase Ink Plus and Ink Cash cards offer 5x on office supply stores (Ink Plus capped at $50K spend per year; Ink Cash capped at 25K spend per year). I have updated this guide to clarify that it is the Ink Plus or Ink Cash cards that earn 5x at Staples.

Did you try the trick of quickly cancelling the transaction and changing payment type to debit? This is a known thing that you need to do with Mastercards at Walmart. See the mastercard trick, here: -gift-card-pins-and-example-uses/ 041b061a72
